Uptick vs FireMate
Uptick vs FireMate
Uptick charges a simple monthly fee based on the number of technicians and office staff using the system. Your customers and subcontractors gets access for free.
FireMate uses a simple pricing model that charges a single fee per month based on the number of users in the system.
Fire industry specific
Built for the needs of the Australian, New Zealand and UK fire protection industry.
Customer data encrypted (at rest and in transit), secure protocols used, and data protection policies in place.
The FireMate desktop software connects directly to their database, rather than a modern approach where data is secured through an API. This leaves your confidential customer data vulnerable to exposure or theft.
Interactive PDFs and unlimited photos
Customer reporting (programme maintenance reports, service reports, and defect quotes) can contain an unlimited number of photos, and PDFs are interactive allowing customers to click to see full size photos from their PDF.
FireMate cannot handle large quantities of photos, does not automatically flow photos from test to quote, and does not produce interactive PDFs.
Integrate with your email provider (Outlook, Gmail, etc) to capture and inbound and outbound emails against a site, customer, or task.
Realtime syncing and work offline
Automatically sync changes from the technician to the office, and vice versa, without manual intervention and work in fully offline mode in basements or rural areas without coverage.
FireMate requires technicians to manually "sync" to push changes live, and does not allow technicians to work offline for long periods.
Modern desktop software is exclusively delivered through your browser allowing high security and instant updates.
To use FireMate on your desktop you must install software and update it every time you open the program.
Subcontractors can complete assigned tasks simply without installing software.
FireMate does not have a subcontractor portal: subcontractors must pay a license fee and install an app.
Customers can download reports, invoices and approve quotes through an online portal.
Save technician time on site with geospatial asset registers.
Firemate does not have floorplans or geospatial asset registers.
Fully documented APIs allow you to extend your platform, integrate third-party products, or build automations.
FireMate Desktop does not use an API, and FireMate does not publish a public API specification.
Custom data capture and forms
Unlimited custom fields against any piece of data, and build-your-own forms for customer specific risk assessments, site auditing, or custom data capture.
FireMate limits you to 6 custom fields on an asset, and does not have a form builder for custom forms for technicians or office staff.
Extract, combine and visualise your data to create custom management reporting, with full drill down capability or emailed to you on a schedule.
FireMate does not offer a BI tool, you are limited to the built-in reports.
